I attended the funeral for Ed Renfro last week. I learned that Ed was a charter member of the Merkel Historical Society. I would like to make a contribution to this in lieu of flowers. Can you give me the mailing address where I can send my check? Also, would there be a book on the early families and history of Merkel? If so, please advise me where I can purchase a copy. Thank you

I was born and raised 5 miles south of Merkel in 1921. Have many fond memories of growing up there on mulbeery creek.

need help!! father was born in merkel in 1914, i bvelieve. is there a keeper of records for the newspaper or where would i need to look to find the answers. i have more imformation to supply if someone there can guide me in the right directions really appreciate any help or suggestions. ronnie long
